Our story

Manna means “what is it?”

Small round manna, like white coriander seed, falling into a wooden bowl

When God fed Israel in the wilderness, bread showed up on the ground every morning. Small, white, round, like coriander seed. The people had never seen anything like it. They looked at it and did not know what it was, and the name stuck to the question: manna means “what is it?” (Exodus 16:15). They named it after the question, and God kept sending it for forty years.

That question is where Manna’d comes from.

The Bible is full of lines most people read right past. Somebody asks if there’s any taste in the white of an egg (Job 6:6). A boy carries ten cheeses to an army captain (1 Samuel 17:18). A man trades his whole inheritance for a bowl of stew (Genesis 25:29). A grumbling crowd misses the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic of Egypt (Numbers 11:5). A loaf of barley bread rolls into an enemy camp and knocks over a tent (Judges 7:13). A young man falls asleep during a very long sermon and falls out a third floor window (Acts 20:9). Jesus says some people strain out a gnat and swallow a camel (Matthew 23:24).

Every one of those lines is real. Every one of them is in there on purpose. And every one of them points to something true about God, if somebody stops long enough to ask, “Wait, what is that?”

So that’s what we make. We take one of those lines and put it on the back of a shirt, big and plain, with no explanation. No slogan, no sermon on the front. Just the verse and where to find it. Then someone standing behind you in line reads it and asks. And you get to tell them the story.

Every design comes with its own story card. It tells you what is happening in the passage, what it shows us about God, and a few plain sentences you can say when someone asks. You don’t need to be a Bible scholar or a preacher. You don’t need to start an awkward conversation. The shirt starts it for you. All you have to do is answer.

We think that’s how a lot of real conversations about faith begin. Not with a pitch, but with curiosity. Somebody notices something new, asks a question, and a door opens. Manna came the same way. God gave His people something they didn’t understand, they asked about it, and the answer was that He was taking care of them every single day.

Our hope is that every shirt does a small version of that. A stranger asks a question. You tell them what God did. And they walk away knowing a little more about Him than they did that morning.

Now they’ve been Manna’d.

What we make: tees, hoodies, crewnecks, mugs, totes, framed prints, posters and stickers, each carrying one of these verses. Every item is printed when you order it, just for you, so nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing goes to waste. Tees run from S to 4XL.

Thank you for stopping by. Pick the verse that made you ask “what is that?” and go let someone else ask you.
